SHEFFIELD, UK — Astronomica Ltd has launched SALAMANDER, a new lightning-fast web hosting platform developed for websites created and managed through Astronomica Studio.

Astronomica Studio, the design, web and marketing arm of Astronomica Ltd for businesses, charities, organisations, and individuals looking to be seen and be seen in the way that they want to, is beginning to move its own web properties and client websites onto SALAMANDER as part of a wider upgrade to the company’s digital infrastructure.

SALAMANDER operates largely behind the scenes. Clients do not need to learn a new hosting system, manage servers or interact with a separate platform. Instead, Salamander provides the underlying infrastructure used by Astronomica to keep supported websites online, responsive and running smoothly.

The platform is intended to become the default hosting environment for new websites produced by Astronomica Studio, while clients who prefer to use or retain their own hosting provider will continue to have that option.

Astronomica Studio provides web design alongside search engine optimisation, digital PR, design and wider marketing services. The introduction of SALAMANDER gives the company greater control over the infrastructure supporting the websites it builds, allowing hosting to form a more closely integrated part of the overall service rather than being treated as an entirely separate product.

For clients, the number one goal is simple: websites should just work.

The platform is already hosting a number of live websites, with further Astronomica-operated sites expected to migrate as the rollout continues.

SALAMANDER will support websites created for a range of Astronomica Studio clients, from smaller organisations and local businesses to publications and more substantial sites with hundreds or thousands of pages.

Access is currently reserved for Astronomica clients and the company’s own projects, allowing the infrastructure to remain closely connected to the websites and organisations it was introduced to support.
